The Ancient Unknown lace up for new single ‘The Fall’, rock n roll combat in dystopia

Brit-rock newcomers The Ancient Unknown have today laced up for new single ‘The Fall’, a rock-n-roll showdown of combat in dystopia. Expect soaring vocals, driving riffs, guest-rapper Ryan Soul, and street-punk beats, as members go head to head in their primal new video, out now: https://youtu.be/NNEn_kl9iMA

The new single showcases a powerful arrival onto the scene for 2021, as the past year has been nothing but knockbacks for musicians, venues, event organisers and staff right throughout the music industry. However, the ideas behind ‘The Fall’ came about earlier than that…

“The Fall tells a story of a boxer who talks the talk, but doesn’t walk the walk, getting knocked out quick after a poor showing. This track was born a while ago, starting with the riff which was actually made jamming at a house-party with ex-band mate Jack O’Mullane. Seeing the riff as quite jovial, I decided to use it for a tongue in cheek take on the trash talk that goes on in boxing, especially on occasions when one of the fighters is then pummelled with ease.

Whatever you think about boxers and boxing, it is undeniable that in the world of sport it is probably the closest to show business, and I believe those knockout blows would be no way near as satisfying without the overblown back and forth before a fight.” – Crispin Case-Leng [Vocalist]

Eccentric performances, Muse-esque riffs, Zeppelin soaring vocals, and Bowie influenced melodies; this London quintet fearlessly explore the musical universe and beyond, blending dark lyrical notions of a world in chaos, with soulful twists of love, romance and optimism. Expect big things from this band, who after having performed legendary venues nationally, know how to turn the screw for a loud, energetic performance. 2020 has been a knockout blow for the live music industry, but rest assured, The Ancient Unknown are waiting in the wings for the first opportunity to take ‘The Fall’ to the stage…
