Dr Richard Marques Launches Dental Treatment to Expand the Smile to Give a More Youthful Look
Celebrity dentist Dr Richard Marques, has recently launched an innovative new treatment which involves expanding the teeth and widening the arch to create a broader smile and to better support the facial structure. I was just wondering if this is of interest to feature? It’s already become an extremely popular cosmetic treatment in his clinic as it creates a beautifully youthful appearance.
But How Does it Work?
The expansion of the arch (usually the upper) is achieved by a special (non-visible) device which is worn and adjusted to bring the back teeth outwards so you can see the smile fully. Over time, due to the pressure of the cheeks, you can get a narrowing of the teeth and smile.
The expansion device is then able to move the back teeth outwards so you can see the smile from the front of the mouth. The teeth, once moved outwards, also support the cheeks. This is much better than using fillers for the cheeks as the teeth then support the face naturally from underneath.
The Results
Combined with teeth whitening (and sometimes aesthetic reshaping) this creates a much more youthful appearance for the patient without the use of injectables or surgical intervention. This is a very advanced treatment to create a fantastic overall look.
