Tiger’s Big Build receives £1000 funding boost from local housebuilder

David Wilson Homes has recently supported Tiger’s Big Build, an initiative in Hailsham that is raising funds to cover the costs of the home of the Pelling family to make it more accessible for their son, Tiger. The housebuilder, who is building its Ersham Park development in Hailsham, East Sussex, has supported the project with a donation of £1000.

The donation from David Wilson Southern Counties will contribute towards the costs of the ongoing renovation project, which will see major works being undertaken at the home of Tiger Pelling. Tiger requires a wheelchair and hoist to move around, making his current home arrangement unsuitable. The project includes widening rooms so his wheelchair and tracking hoist can more easily move around, providing an accessible bedroom downstairs, building an access ramp outside and renovating the bathroom to incorporate more mobility-friendly appliances.

Sid and Kate Pelling, Tiger’s parents and founders of Tiger’s Big Build Project, comment: “We greatly appreciate David Wilson Southern Counties’ donation, which will help immensely towards the changes to our home. We are currently renovating the bathroom, with the recent installation of a new bath and are now looking towards starting on the rest works within the house. Tiger cannot wait to see the project completed and move back into a home which suits our living arrangements.”
