A new study by Norfolk holiday providers Kett Country Cottages has looked at a range of different categories to name the UK’s top royal residence. Kett Country Cottages have pored over the data for things like history, popularity, instagrammability and admission fee to name an overall winner and discovered some interesting facts along the way. Key information about each royal residence has also been used to create a series of stunning illustrated cards which can be used to play a classic game of top trumps.
The top ten royal residences in full are:

- Windsor Castle
- Kensington Palace
- Sandringham House
- Balmoral Castle
- Highgrove
- Clarence House
- Holyroodhouse
- Anmer Hall
- Hillsborough Castle
During our research we discovered that Buckingham Palace is the most Instagrammable royal residence with more than 1.3 million hashtags and Windsor Castle is the place where The Queen spends the most average nights each year!
