Groundbreaking AI business automation startup secures over half a million in pre-seed funding from private equity investors
Innovative Danish AI software solutions startup Sentispec have just secured significant pre-seed funding from VC Founderment as well as a syndicate of private investors.
Who are Sentispec?
Sentispec help logistics companies streamline productivity and optimise cost base using cutting edge computer vision AI. Their unique Access AI platform processes video data and integrates it with business data to optimise workflow and business processes.
Sentispec’s access platform provides regional and global supply chain operators with significant productivity improvements through the analysis of visual data in relation to trailers, containers, stock, gates and warehouses. The platform provides a range of functions including: optimisation of trailer and container fill rates, automated stock taking, and shipment compliance checking.
The business automation firm’s solutions are considered highly scalable and applicable across global distribution networks – earning them funding of €740,000 (over £600,000) from Founderment and a group of angel investors on the basis of revenues earned in the Scandinavian distribution and logistics industry. With this new capital injection, Sentispec set their sights on making 10% of the world’s inventories more streamlined and efficient within a few years.
CEO of Sentispec Andreas Claudi, 45, says:
“No one has really figured out how to implement artificial intelligence in the logistics industry’s core operations. They still use hand scanners and drive around with half-empty containers. Our technology can streamline the entire process and save companies huge amounts of money and CO2. This investment is transformational for our ability to accelerate our value-add to our customers and establish visual data as a cornerstone for supply chain-reliant companies. We are already working with some of the world’s largest shipping and logistics companies, and this investment will allow us to rapidly expand the scope of collaboration”

Founderment are an early-stage VC that back founders of tech-driven start-ups with blue-sky ambitions. Founderment is backed in this investment by Anders Holch Polvsen, Danish billionaire CEO and sole owner of Bestseller, the Danish clothing chain. Anders says:
“The logistics industry needs to be further digitised if it is to keep up with developments, and we see Sentispec as an important component in the industry’s necessary digitisation process”.
Other investors include Morten Ditmer, Troels Riisbrich Underlien, Jørgen Jensen, Erik Trock-Jansen, Henning Jensen, Kåare Kjelstrøm and Henrik Mørch.
