The World’s Most Expensive Bottle of Gin Goes on Sale Via NFT With Offers Starting at £30,000

Silent Pool Distillers’ partner with Quantus Gallery, Europe’s first NFT gallery, with an eight litre one of a kind Dartington Crystal bottle and glassware.

The digital expression of the World’s most expensive bottle of gin went on display today at Europe’s first NFT gallery, Quantus. The bottle from Silent Pool Distillers has been over a year in the making bringing together three luxury brands of the highest quality. Silent Pool Gin is the UK’s best selling Super Premium Gin in its price bracket, with a beautifully designed bottle and multi award winning gin. The task of creating the special edition bottle was handed to Dartington Crystal, the UK’s leading glass manufacturer where all detailing was painstakingly hand engraved. The subtly illuminated leather case for the bottle and glasses took over two months to make and was designed and built by Franck Tressens of Ephtee, makers of luxury trunks.

The hand blown, bespoke Dartington Crystal bottle along with the eight glasses that accompany it took master craftsmen over eighty hours to hand etch with a precision drill. The juxtaposition of traditional artisan design with the latest digital art makes for an exciting first ever consumer experience.

Silent Pool Distillers founder and CEO Ian McCulloch notes, “What do you give the billionaire gin lover in your life? Answer, the worlds’ most exclusive crystal bottle and glass set. We wanted to bring together the finest craftsmen to create the ultimate bottle and display case, they did just that”.

With the current Guinness world record for the most expensive bottle of gin standing at £3,800, the eight litre Silent Pool special edition is expected to blow the current record away at an auction starting price of £30,000. Quantus Gallery, an NFT gallery and advisory service, will be selling the bottle via auction. Quantus is Europe’s first physical gallery specialising in NFTs, having opened its doors earlier this year on London’s Fashion street. The bottle will be a physical centrepiece in the space sitting amongst the forty screens displaying digital art from a number of artists.

Quantus Gallery’s Josh Sandhu says. “We’re really excited to have partnered with Silent Pool Gin on this project; with the likes of Gucci, D&G, and Patron having launched their own NFTs, we knew this was a winning and innovative partnership.”
