Cambridge Literary Festival announces event to raise money for Cambridge4Ukraine
In light of the ongoing situation in Ukraine, Cambridge Literary Festival is collaborating with local group Cambridge University Ukraine Society (CUUS) in order to host a fundraising event to raise money for Cambridge4Ukraine as a part of their Spring Festival 2022.
The event will address the ongoing war in Ukraine in the context of global politics and will include an array of eminent speakers.
For this urgent conversation we will welcome award-winning journalist, author and film-maker, Paul Mason; historian and academic Dr Olesya Khromeychuk, author of A Loss: The Story of a Dead Soldier Told by His Sister, a moving memoir set against the brutal backdrop of the Russo-Ukrainian war; Dr Rory Finnin, Associate Professor of Ukrainian Studies at Cambridge University, and Professor of International History at the University of Cambridge, David Reynolds.
Over the course of the festival weekend, Cambridge4Ukraine will also be collecting donations at a desk in the Old Divinity School.
Tickets are Pay What You Can and available via CLF’s website. All proceeds will go to Cambridge4Ukraine.
