Wild Honey Launches Grand Tours Dining Series
Michelin starred, Wild Honey St James, is excited to launch a series of dining experiences celebrating the biggest bicycle races in the world, the Grand Tours: Giro d’Italia, Tour de France, and Vuelta a Espana. As an enthusiastic cyclist, chef-patron Anthony Demetre will create a special dish and wine pairing to correspond with each region visited during the race launching with the Giro d’Italia in May 2022.
Tour de France (1st July – 24th July 2022)
The menu will transport guests across France to regions including Morzine, Carcassonne, and Paris, with menu highlights including Crisp pigs head Cherry tart, paired with a Domaine de l’Amandine, Seguret (Cotes du Rhone, Rhone Alpes).
Vuelta a España (19th August – 11th September 2022)
With autumn comes the last Grand Tour of the year, the Vuelta a España. Running from 19th August to 11th September, 2022, the course will cover regions across Spain including Bilbao, Villaviciosa, Sierra Nevada, and Sanlúcar de Barrameda.
Sitting proudly on a corner-site on Pall Mall, Wild Honey St James is part of the five-star hotel Sofitel London St James. During the Giro d’Italia the Sofitel London St James will be exhibiting Pinarello’s pink Giro d’Italia 2020 race winning bike in the hotel’s grand lobby, as presented to the winner, Hackney born Londoner Tao Geoghegan Hart.
The dining experiences build on the hotel’s long-standing partnership with the world’s leading premium cycling brand Pinarello. As part of the collaboration between the two leading brands, guests staying for two or more nights at the five-star hotel Sofitel London St James have the opportunity to organise a private bike rental from Pinarello’s London store and enjoy a cycle around the city (option of having a guide).
