DR DO-A-LOT: The local Streatham hero named finalist in Petplan’s 2023 Veterinary Awards
Streatham local Rhiannon Lewis of Streatham Hill Veterinary Surgery, South London, has been shortlisted for the esteemed Support Staff of the Year in the prestigious Petplan Veterinary Awards 2023.
Now in its 24th year, this year over 30,000 nominations have been received – submitted by both colleagues and clients in recognition of nominees’ commitment and dedication to going above and beyond when it comes to the health of the nation’s pets.
The awards ceremony will take place on 23rd March at Kimpton Clocktower Hotel in Manchester, and will be hosted by actress and comedian Sally Phillips.
Commenting on her Customer Service Manager, Rhiannon Lewis said: “The nomination alone meant so much to not only myself, but the rest of the team. Being the first and last step of a client’s journey in practice can affect their whole experience, and knowing that I am a positive part of that journey means a lot. We all do this job because we love it, so to be recognised for the work we all do in such a big way is so special.”
Bella von Mesterhazey, Sales & Marketing Director at Petplan added: “This year has been tougher than ever for our judges, as they work through an incredible selection of finalist nominations. We’re delighted that in its 24th year, such a huge number of people are keen to share their fantastic experiences of colleagues and professionals.
“We’re incredibly excited to come together with the finalists in Manchester this year to thank them for their fantastic efforts, as well as celebrating a shared passion for the wellbeing of our pets.”
