“Memories come back of the terrible circumstances in which Diana died.”
PRINCE Harry’s involvement in a two-hour chase with paparazzi photographers is “absolutely shocking” and raises questions about how police organised their security in New York City, a Royal expert has said.
Richard Fitzwilliams told GB News: “It’s absolutely shocking. Obviously, the way this statement has been phrased, it brings all sorts of terrifying memories to mind.
“And one also wonders, I think, what’s the level of the security that has been arranged for them in in New York?
“It’s quite an extraordinary statement, a potentially catastrophic car chase apparently over some two hours.”
In a discussion with Patrick Christys, he added: “Obviously, instantly, memories come back of the terrible circumstances in which Diana died.
‘Now one does wonder that the paparazzi threat obviously remains real, but equally that it is no longer anything like the force that they used to be, as I understood it. This is therefore quite extraordinary.
“Also you wonder what security Harry has. He has two cases against the Home Office, one is regarding the level of his security whenever it is pertinent, the other that he believes that he should be allowed to pay for it, which of course raises questions as to whether or not an individual who can afford it, should be allowed to pay.
“So as far as New York is concerned, what level of security did they actually arrange after the award ceremony? I mean, it is it is quite extraordinary.”
He added: “We haven’t heard, presumably we would have heard, if there had been as any arrests because there have been a list of violations where the laws been broken, and have the New York Police investigated investigating anybody or arrested anybody for this?
“It is quite extraordinary.”
