Michelle Dewberry dresses up as a cat and demands to be known as ‘Meow-chelle’
MICHELLE Dewberry appeared on air today with her face painted as a cat – and demanded to be known as “Meow-chelle”.
The GB News presenter also donned a pair of cat-like ears in protest after it emerged that a teenage girl was admonished as “despicable” by a teacher for questioning why a fellow pupil was identifying as a cat.
As fellow presenter Patrick Christys introduced her just before her show, she said: “I’ve got my saucer of milk, I am no longer Michelle, I self-identify as Meow-chelle.
“That’s how I want to be respected and regarded for the rest of eternity, quite frankly.”
“What if I refuse?” Patrick asked.
“Well, then I’m going to call the hate speech police and have you arrested, and I’m going to try and cancel your career,” she replied.
He said: “All right Michelle, Meow-chelle, will be with you live…”
To which she responded: “Don’t mis-gender me!”
She was reacting to a story about a 13-year-old girl who was reprimanded by her teacher at Rye College in East Sussex for refusing to accept that another pupil identified as a cat.
The teacher said the girl and her friend were no longer welcome at the Church of England school and would be reported to a senior teacher.
