Barbie Ferreira x Havaianas Launch – New Celebrity Collaboration
For over two decades, Havaianas, the iconic, world famous footwear brand founded in Brazil, has partnered with some of the most exciting fashion houses in the world.One of the original global brands to harness the power of the designer collaborations, Havaianas first entered the international market by creating iconic flip flops with Missoni and Valentino, which helped establish Havaianas as the original flip flop leader. Today, globally recognized across the fashion scene and a household name, Havaianas announces and celebrates the launch of the collaboration with global icon and actress Barbie Ferreira – the first-ever, global celebrity partnership for the brand.
Being of Brazilian descent and raised in the United States, Barbie’s voice represents the styles and aspirations of a generation that wishes to globally connect through the shared values of freedom, dialogue and diversity – an energy and expression which positioned Barbie as the perfect partner for Havaianas to co-design a capsule collection with.
Inspired by her Brazilian roots, vintage elements of Rio de Janeiro in the 60s//70s, as well as Brazilian architecture and interior design, Barbie had the freedom to creatively direct the entire collaboration and co-design the nine styles within the collection.
“Havaianas is an iconic brand that I’ve been wearing since I was in diapers. To me it signifies so much of my culture and my family and Brazil in general. Being Brazilian American has shaped my heart, my art and my fashion endlessly. Getting the chance to design for a company that represents my family, and me, in a nostalgic way is incredibly exciting and I can’t wait for everyone to see what we came up with.” says Barbie.

The collection developed and designed by Barbie herself, includes nine styles of Havaianas most iconic shapes in both flip flops and slides. Colorways of green, yellow and brown create designs that speak to Brazil’s culture of
