Depeche Mode UK Tour: How to beat ticket scalpers, according to ticket experts

Canary Wharf’s highly anticipated music, comedy, dance and theatre event Festival14 returns in under two weeks, happening from Wednesday 26th to Sunday 30th July. The free-to-attend festival will welcome a host of acts across the Estate’s extensive parks, plazas and open spaces.

Depeche Mode announced the UK, Ireland and Europe dates of their Memento Mori Tour after a five-year absence from performing. Online Searches for ‘Depeche Mode’ have increased by over 669% on the day of the announcement!

With this in mind, Gilad Zilberman, Co-Founder of ticket experts SeatPick, has provided valuable knowledge on how to secure exclusive and high-demand concert tickets for your favourite artists even if you miss the pre-sales:

“With fans rushing to get their hands on the tickets after the band’s 5-year absence on stage, here is a list of our favourite tips to ensure that you don’t miss out on securing exclusive tickets” –

1. Ensure you register for tickets

To guarantee yourself the best chance of getting tickets, make sure to register on the band’s Ticketmaster site first, where you’ll be able to choose your venue. However, please note that this doesn’t guarantee you a ticket.
Keep an eye out on communications that you should receive on Saturday by Ticketmaster, letting you know whether you’ve received an “on-sale code” or placed on a waiting list. You only have until 10am on Saturday the 15th July to do so, so hurry!

2. Enlist friends to beat the odds

Consider enlisting the help of friends to increase your chances of securing tickets. By using multiple devices for booking, you can enhance your likelihood of success.

3. Set up a Ticketmaster account

You want to minimise issues on the day, so ensure everybody trying to secure the tickets has signed up and logged into the platform first. This will allow you to gain a few vital seconds in the process of paying and securing your tickets. It could make all the difference. Also, ensure your payment details are set up too!

4. Never refresh the page

Once you are in the ticket queue, never be tempted to refresh. You may lose all your hard work and get kicked to the back of the very long queue. Being patient and not panicking is key to success.

5. Don’t panic if tickets sell out.

Don’t get discouraged, and keep checking back on the sites after they say they’re sold out. Sometimes there are issues with payments not going through, the website crashing and leaving some tickets available. Keep checking for roughly two hours after release. You might just be lucky.
If there is a higher-than-usual demand for tickets, additional dates may be added, so don’t panic if you aren’t lucky the first time around.

6. Only purchase from well-known, trusted sellers.
While it might be tempting to purchase a ticket through the numerous offers you see online if you weren’t successful on the day, be wary of who you’re buying from and do your research beforehand. Never accept a screenshot of a ticket as these are invalid, or send payment before receiving the tickets.

Only ever part with your money if you can be sure that the site is safe and secure, and that you are certain the re-seller has been vetted with a refund policy in place.

I hope these tips are helpful for seeing your favourite musicians live!” –
