There’s a buzz for Newport pupils with help from housebuilder

To help sustain the UK’s declining bee population and encourage local biodiversity, housebuilder Dandara has donated bee hotels to Jubilee Park Primary school, close to its Parc Jiwbili development in Rogerstone, Newport.

By providing a bee hotel for each year group, Dandara is contributing to efforts ensuring the preservation of local wildlife, all while helping children to foster an appreciation of the vital work bees carry out in our ecosystem.

Tracey Gallacher-Thresh, Sales & Marketing Director for Dandara Wales & West said: “We’re always looking for new ways to support the communities we build in, which is why we are so pleased to donate bee hotels to Jubilee Park Primary School, located just a short walk away from our development. It’s important we are all helping and learning about local biodiversity, and we hope the pupils enjoy looking after their hotels.”

Class teacher Sarah Griffiths at Jubilee Park Primary School added: “It’s great to see the children so excited to look after their new bee hotels, and we are all looking forward to seeing them be used by our new visitors. It’s a great chance for us to learn more about our local wildlife also, so we’d like to thank Dandara for their lovely donation.”

Dandara has also installed a bee hotel at the show home at Parc Jiwbili, which offers a collection of 40 new two, three and four-bedroom homes. Featuring beautifully designed living spaces with modern touches throughout, the development offers a fantastic choice of primary and secondary schooling options in the area.

Situated on the outskirts of Newport and approximately 30 minutes away from the Brecon Beacons National Park, the development provides all the benefits of city living with various eateries, shops and bars in nearby Rogerstone, whilst providing residents with plenty of green space on their doorstep.

Prices start from £337,995 for the three-bedroom Afan semi-detached home. Also currently available to reserve is the Towy from £339,995, the Loughor also a three bedroom home from £359,995, the four bedroom Teifi from £469,995 and the double fronted four bedroom Wye from £569,995.

A new Ebbw show home is now open daily 10am to 5pm. For more information on the Parc Jiwbili development please visit www.dandara.com/parc-jiwbili or call 01633 494514.
