REAL HOUSEWIVES OF CHESHIRE STAR RACHEL LUGO VISITS RACING YARD

Rachel Lugo, star of the hit reality TV series, The Real Housewives of Cheshire, visited local horseracing yard, Greenall Guerriero Racing, ahead of National Racehorse Week.

National Racehorse Week is a nationwide event that takes place from the 9th
– 17th
September.

Lugo experienced a behind-the-scenes tour of the training facilities based in Malpas, Cheshire, with her daughters who are also equestrian fans
and keen riders. The tour included a trip to the gallops to witness the equine stars in training, meeting the racehorses and team of staff who care for them, and demonstrations with the vet and farrier.

The tour gave Lugo the opportunity to experience a sample of what National Racehorse Week events will have on offer to the public in September.

During the weeklong event, over
130 events across the country, including training yards, studs and retraining centres, will open their doors to the public to show what life as a racehorse is really like. 
More than 15,000 places at events are available to attend, which are mostly free, and tickets can be booked via nationalracehorseweek.uk.

Trainers across the country, together with studs and retraining centres, will invite visitors to join them at a multitude of unique events running
throughout the week, which are dedicated to showing the inner workings of some of horseracing’s most important settings and which demonstrate the love, nurture and attention that goes into caring for racehorses.

Greenall Guerriero Racing,
offers a fantastic environment in which to train horses, surrounded by farmland, woods and streams. The open day will at Greenall Guerriero Racing will take place on 9th
September.

Great British Racing, who run National Racehorse Week aim to engage with at least
2,000 people through community engagement in addition to the 15,000 free open days available.

Community events will also include trainers hosting school visits, youth groups, charities, and urban equestrian centres. Many trainers and owners
of former racehorses will also take horses into schools and care homes, offering those who would not ordinarily have the chance to see a racehorse up close the opportunity to be part of the weeklong initiative.
