SOUTH YORKSHIRE HOUSEBUILDER’S EMPLOYEES PUT THEIR BEST FOOT FORWARD AT PENISTONE 10K

Barratt and David Wilson Homes Sheffield recently sponsored the Norman Cole Penistone 10K, located near it’s Penning Fold and Penning Ridge developments, and entered a number of employees into the race.

Scott Hinchcliffe (Engineering Manager), David Hodgkinson (Commercial Director), Joe Pitcher (Assistant Quantity Surveyor) and Stewart Thomson (Development Director) all completed the race to raise money for the division’s charity of the year, The Children’s Hospital Charity.

The charity buys life-saving equipment, and funds vital research and treatment for thousands of children from across the world to help create a comfortable and engaging environment for patients at Sheffield Children’s Hospital.

Scott Hinchcliffe, won the race of 156 runners with an impressive time of 33 minutes and 30 seconds. Together, the team at Barratt and David Wilson Homes Sheffield raised £4,744 for its charity.

Harriet Keynes, Corporate Partnerships Assistant at The Children’s Hospital Charity, said: “The Barratt and David Wilson Homes team have fundraised an incredible amount by participating in the Norman Cole Penistone 10K. They did fantastically on the day, especially when considering the heat! We are so grateful to all the team who participated, and to the Barratt Foundation for match funding their fundraising, making the total raised for The Children’s Hospital an impressive £4,744.
