South Coast based TILT Engineering Design Named Finalist for Best New Business in the National Maritime Awards
TILT Engineering Design, a new and exciting engineering consultancy specialising in maritime infrastructure projects, has been named a finalist for the Best New Business Award by the British Maritime Awards. The award recognizes young companies that are making significant contributions to their industry.
TILT was founded in 2022 with a mission to break the mold of traditional multinational consultancies and provide genuine innovation, dynamic client-first delivery, and an exciting and fast-paced place to work. The company is currently delivering several exciting infrastructure projects, including:
A concept tidal range scheme to deliver renewable energy to 800,000 homes
Electric vessel charging stations on the River Thames
A self-generating hydrogen CTV berth concept
A deep-water research facility in a flooded quarry
A berthing solution for Peel Ports’ RORO vessels
TILT is experiencing major success through how it delivers projects to its clients and empowers its team. With a head office on the South Coast, the company has a passion for all things maritime and seeks to share this energy with its clients, making its projects fun and enjoyable. TILT also puts its teams well-being and future first with industry-exceeding benefits, support, and training. For example, despite being a start-up, TILT has invested in a YuLife wellbeing platform that indirectly pays its staff to exercise or participate in well-being activities.
“We are honoured to be named a finalist for the Best New Business Award,” said Ian Dobson, Managing Director of TILT Engineering Design. “This award is a testament to the hard work and dedication of our team. We are passionate about making a difference in the maritime industry, and we are excited to continue to grow and innovate.”
The Best New Business Award will be presented at the National Maritime annual awards ceremony on 13 September in London.
