D&G inks 5-year deal with kitchen appliance maker CDA
Domestic & General (D&G), the UK’s leading appliance care specialist with policies in 1 in 3 households, and specialist kitchen appliance manufacturer CDA have signed a new and exclusive 5-year contract.
The agreement is aimed at developing and enhancing CDA’s aftercare services for its customers in the UK. The company on average sells around 300,000 major domestic appliances a year in Britain, which includes ovens and wine coolers.
D&G already works with well-known and established retailers and appliance manufacturers in the UK including leading brands such as Whirlpool, Miele, John Lewis and AO. D&G on average delivers approximately 2.5 million repairs a year with around 4 in 5 machines fixed on the first visit.
Kam Kandola, Sales Director at D&G said: “This is an exciting new partnership for UK consumers. D&G has extensive experience and expertise in supporting appliance manufacturers to develop and deliver high quality and bespoke aftercare services. We look forward to creating a cutting-edge and customer centric programme with CDA in the UK market, carefully building on their existing approach.”
Dominic Worsley, Managing Director for CDA, added: “Our new partnership with D&G is another step forward for CDA, as we strive to continuously enhance the level of service we offer to consumers who choose CDA appliances for their home. This collaboration reflects our commitment to delivering peace of mind to our valued customers.”
Last year D&G, headquartered in London with a large operations hub located in Nottingham, entered the US market in a partnership with Whirlpool. It acquired After inc, a leading post sale consumer warranty business, in June 2023. The transaction is aimed at accelerating D&G’s growth in one of the world’s largest home appliance markets. D&G’s revenues last year were approaching £1 billion.
