JCA | London Fashion Academy presented their second MA cohort collections coinciding with London Frieze Week
JCA | London Fashion Academy hosted its second MA showcase during London Frieze Week.
Attendees included: Rod Stewart, Penny Lancaster, Amelia Windsor, Gemma Owen, Lady Victoria Hervey, Jeff Banks, Eunice Olumide, Camilla Rutherfod, Isabella Charlotta, Susan Bender, Irina Pantaeva, Jeetendr Sehdev, Malan Breton, Bao Ha Phan, Ariish Wol, Matthew Zorpas, Anna Khanoff, Emilio de la Morena, Sshh, Mark Ebulue
Following their participation at the THIS IS ICON Gala in September, where each designer previewed one look, the MA Graduates-Entrepreneurs were able to showcase their final collection, each occupying their own dedicated room to display their work. The event commenced at 4pm, for a press preview, and led to a cocktail reception for VIPs and friends of the JCA.
The JCA MA Graduates in Fashion Entrepreneurship in Design and Brand Innovation, who presented their collections are:
Olivia Black – a sustainable fashion brand that focuses on genderless design and the use of up-cycled materials and deadstock to create unique, fashionable clothing.
Polly McKevitt – An avant-garde brand that focuses on retro silhouettes and is exclusively crafted from 100% deadstock materials.
Yasmin – a luxury streetwear brand by Saleha Hussain that fuses contemporary and modesty fashion whilst prioritising ethical manufacturing and sustainable practices.
Icela Berra- a sustainable Bridal, ceremonial garment brand, focused on making feminine, stylised unconventional peices for the unconventional women who want to make a statement.
AAIYMA creative studio- created by Aaiyma Masoud AAIYMA focuses on the “simple unusual” and combines geometric shapes and three-dimensionality to challenge the status quo.
Location-em- a range of occasion wear dresses by Mariam Saeed, that prioritise modesty without compromising style.
UNBD- an innovative fusion of athleisure and self-expression, presenting dance as an artistic medium.
