Labour MP, Steve McCabe, says that Suella Braverman has ‘breached ministerial policy’ by claiming the police are biased in their approach to Palestine protests.
Speaking to GB News, Mr McCabe said: “ I think the Home Secretary’s problems are that she is straying way out of line in terms of government policy. I think the reference to homeless people on the streets and life choices is yet another example of how, too often, the Home Secretary doesn’t seem to be in line with the rest of the government. I would say that this is a thinly veiled leadership bid, and she’s grabbing attention whenever she can.
Commenting on the position the Labour finds itself in with rebellions from some of their MPs over the party’s stance on Israel be continued: “A member resigned, he did the decent thing he couldn’t agree with the leadership, so he resigned. I would say we set an example. Keir Starmer has made it clear that he understands why people are getting themselves hung up on this. But I’m not aware that there is anyone who is occupying a position on the Shadow Cabinet who is actually opposing the leadership lane.
“But if they are then yes, of course they should go as well.”
