DARWIN ESCAPES CHAMPIONS BRITISH WILDLIFE WITH NEW CHESTER ZOO EXHIBITION

Darwin Escapes is putting the United Kingdom’s spectacular wildlife under the spotlight by sponsoring an immersive and educational new exhibition at Chester Zoo.

Open until Spring 2024, “Native: The Incredible World of British Wildlife” is a 360-degree, projection-based experience celebrating the fascinating species that call the UK home.

Situated in Luminous, the zoo’s 600m2 digital exhibition space, Native will replace the hugely popular Planet Shark experience that proved successful in 2023 – and with elephants, lions and giraffes living a stone’s throw away, Luminous is the perfect venue to teach guests about creatures from slightly closer to home.

Guests can explore the coast, grasslands, wetlands and woodlands, taking in up-close-and-personal footage of animals ranging from seals and dolphins to squirrels and even Scottish wildcats. Completing the experience is an interactive discovery area in which guests can take a walk around a giant tree model and watch camera trap footage from the Chester Zoo nature reserve, home to kingfishers, hedgehogs and more.

Across the upcoming February half-term, Chester Zoo will also be giving away a free 7-night stay at the new Plas Isaf Lodge Retreat, which was opened by Darwin Escapes in May 2023. Guests can enter the giveaway by filling in a short form on the Chester Zoo website, with hundreds of entries already submitted.
