Comer Homes Sponsor Chalfont School Colour Run
Leading placemaking developer of the iconic Newland Park, Comer Homes, has been announced as the lead sponsor for the upcoming Chalfont St. Giles Village School Colour Run. Set to be held on Saturday 18th May, between 2-5pm the event is being organised by the school’s Parent Teachers Association to raise money to build a nurturing nest that will provide extra support for children that need a secure, private space away from the main school building.
The target for donations is £14,000 to cover the full construction and installation costs, with Comer Homes’ sponsorship contribution covering part of the costs to hold the event, which is also being supported by other prominent local businesses and groups. Tickets are currently available through the school website.
Brian Comer, Comer Homes Co-Founder and Group Chairman, said: “We were approached directly by the Chalfont St. Giles Village School PTA team to provide support and we couldn’t be happier to contribute to an event that will be a fantastic day out for the pupils and local community. The money raised will allow the school to deliver a much-needed facility for the children, so to have played even a small part in this initiative is one that fills us with great joy.”
Speaking on behalf of the Chalfont St. Giles Village School Parent Teachers Association, Michelle Cameron, Chair, said: “We would like to express our gratitude to Comer Homes for their generous sponsorship. This donation for the colour run assists us to meet our target whilst enabling our children and school community to have fun along the way.”
The Colour Run is a short race inspired by the Hindu festival of Holi where spectators playfully cover the participants in coloured paint, as they complete a set course. The event in May will be held within the school grounds, with Comer’s sponsorship contributing towards the paint costs, as well as required facilities to allow the event to run smoothly.
This initiative is part of a long-term commitment from Comer Homes to the local communities of Chalfont St. Giles and Chalfont St. Peter, that surround Newland Park. Activities in recent months have included Comer homes being the lead sponsor for the Feast of St. Peter Fun Night in December 2022, as well as working with pupils from the leading local independent Berkhamsted School to deposit a Time Capsule on the grounds of Newland Park.
Close to full completion, the sales of the first phase of available homes at Newland Park are in full swing. Following the recent show apartment launch, over 150 visitors were recorded across the weekend, with multiple reservations made and all available ground floor apartments with large terraces within Gott Place sold, with one eager buyer secured the show home as seen (complete with all fixtures and fittings).
In addition to the Gott apartment launch, Comer Homes has revealed the availability of 10 3/4-bedroom homes within the Pankhurst Houses collection, which are available to be reserved immediately but are set to be fully launched in the summer.
