Skylarks, proud finalists at the National Learning Disabilities and Autism Awards ceremony
Fiona Morgan, Head of Operations at Skylarks Charity, joined by her son attended the National Learning Disabilities and Autism Awards on Friday 21 June in Birmingham. Invited to attend as finalists in the Positive Change category, they represented team Skylarks at the ceremony.
Fiona, said: “Although we didn’t win, being a finalist in the Positive Behaviour category at the National Learning Disability & Autism Awards is a huge moment for us. We are incredibly thankful for this national recognition, which highlights our dedication to supporting young people with additional needs and their families.
“This incredible recognition comes in the 18th year of Skylarks, showcasing the immense impact we’ve had over nearly two decades. We’ve collectively worked hard to make a positive difference in people’s lives, and we continue to be the very best at what we do, always championing young people and focusing on their families.
“The awards ceremony took place at the International Convention Centre (ICC) in Birmingham and was fantastic fun. We met so many amazing people doing incredible work across the country. A special shout out to the Robbie Williams tribute act and the wonderful dance troupe — who truly made the night unforgettable.
“We are so proud to have our work highlighted nationally. Thank you to the National Learning Disability & Autism Awards for recognising what we do and for bringing together such a dedicated and inspiring set of people. Together, we all continue to aim for excellence in support work, healthcare, education, and community engagement across the UK. A big well done to all of the winners and finalists from the whole of Skylarks.”
