Celebrate Fiestas de La Mercè at The Campaner This September

The Campaner,
a Catalonian restaurant located in Chelsea and renowned for its elevated style of Spanish cuisine, will celebrate the Fiestas de La Mercè on Sunday 22nd September, bringing the spirit of Barcelona to the heart of London.

The restaurant, which opened in May 2023, will immerse attendees in the rich traditions of Barcelona’s Fiestas de La Mercè, celebrated since 1871 to honor the city’s patron saint who protected it from a locust
plague in 1687. This vibrant event, the largest in Barcelona, showcases Catalan culture through music, dance, theater, parades, and fireworks.

Filled with music, dance, and cultural performances, The Campaner invites Londoners to experience its own version of this historic festival with a full day of activities and traditional Catalan flare taking place
between 9 AM – 8 PM, including:

10 AM – 12 PM: A free face painting Children’s Workshop and breakfast churros with chocolate – for children only

12 PM – 8 PM: 2-for-1 Vermouth throughout the day for £7.00

·
12 PM: Feast on The Campaner’s infamous huge fragrant paella, available until it’s gone

·
12 PM: Live performances by the Los Amigos Band

·
3 PM – 6 PM: Watch as the Castellers of London create human towers, continuing the Catalonian tradition of symbolising teamwork, solidarity, working with people
of all ages, and origins

6 PM – 8 PM: Conclude the evening with another live performance by the Los Amigos Band while enjoying the traditional Catalonian drink, Ron Cremat priced at
£6.50

8 PM: Ending the night with a spectacular sparkler display

The festival will feature a specially curated menu, offering a taste of Catalonia including, the Para picar: Pan con tomate, Escalivada croquette with romesco, Coca de esquixada, Butifarra paella with all-i-oli
and crema Catalana. Available for £59 which can be enjoyed from The Campaner’s Mediterranean-inspired terrace overlooking the celebrations.
