Locals are once again eagerly anticipating Everest Inn’s most celebrated annual event, Diwali—also known as Tihar or Deepawali—the Festival of Lights. Renowned for its authentic, home-style award-winning Nepalese cuisine and much-loved cultural events, Everest Inn is again extending its Diwali celebrations over two magical evenings this October due to overwhelming demand.

Upon arrival, guests will be welcomed with Champagne, Canapes and traditional tokens, with ladies receiving a Tika (a ceremonial mark) and Pote(a traditional Nepali necklace), while gentlemen a Nepali Topi (a distinctive hat symbolising national pride). The evening will commence in Everest Inn’s open-plan restaurant with stunning views over the Heath before heading downstairs to dine.

A key highlight of the celebration will be the exclusive three-course candlelit menu, designed to showcase the diverse flavours of Nepal. Central to the dining experience is the much-loved Royal Deepawali Thali, a collection of small dishes that reflect the rich heritage and sharing traditions of Nepal; with a balanced combination of both meat and vegetarian dishes that represent the various regions of Nepal including, Masuro Batuk Chatt (V), Kingfish Pokora and Mushroom and Aloo Bhujiya.

The event will also feature light entertainment, including a captivating performance by traditional Diwali dancers. Fine wines, Nepalese beers, and non-alcoholic beverages will also be available
