Day of The Dead comes to London at Notting Hill’s Latin-American Inspired Viajante87

Head to Viajante87, the neighbourhood gem of Notting Hill, for an unmissable Day of the Dead party on Saturday 2nd November sponsored by Patrón Tequila. Kicking off at 8pm, the party promises to be an unforgettable celebration of the popular festival, with a range of activities and live music for guests to enjoy. Alongside the bar’s incredible cocktails, which are inspired by Latin America, there will be a special, limited edition menu of three Patrón drinks made using ingredients native to Oaxaca to bring the festivities to life and transport guests to the streets of Mexico. Reservations not required but recommended to guarantee tables and guests can expect an evening of revelry long into the night to mark the occasion.

From 8pm the evening will have live music from a mariachi band, a photo booth for capturing memorable moments with friends, and the bar will be decorated with the traditional altar to remember loved ones. As the night heats up, DJs Lou Hayter and Marcel Vogel will take over from 10 PM to 2 AM, spinning an exciting mix of tunes to keep the energy flowing. Both DJs are known for their unique craft and sound of Disco, House, Synth-Pop and Funk, ensuring an electrifying soundtrack for a spectacular night in the capital. This immersive experience aims to transport guests into the heart of this vibrant festival and to enjoy a true taste of Latin American culture.

In addition, Viajante87 will offer a special three-drink menu crafted exclusively with Patrón Tequila, and using unique ingredients brought all the way to the bar from Oaxaca. Smoked Pisilla is punchy and vibrant and made using Patrón Silver, Red Vermouth, Lemon, Pomegranate, Apricot, Smoked Pasilla Chili; Chocolate, despite the name, uses no chocolate at all, but instead a fragrant native flower that gives off the aroma of the indulgent treat. Bright and boozy with a delicate chocolatey finish, it features Patrón Reposado, Blanc Vermut, Ilegal Mezcal, Rosita de Cacao, Chicatana – a flavourful edible species of ant. Lastly, Squash is a rich and earthy blend of Patrón Anejo, Butternut squash, Pumpkin Seed Orgeat, Horchata Licor. Each of these unique drinks are £16, and the menu will be running for the entire week leading up to the festivities.

Since unveiling its Latin American-inspired cocktail menu in September 2023, Viajante87 has captured the imaginations of guests with its innovative drinks that pay homage to the region’s rich cultures, flavours, and ingredients. Split into five sections designed to take guests on a journey, the striking and inventive menu reflects the team’s extensive travels through Latin America, translating their experiences into a diverse range of cocktails that seamlessly blend traditional elements with modern twists.

The bar’s ethos is deeply rooted in a profound curiosity and genuine love for travel and exploration, and Viajante87’s menu is split into sections which represent the journey explorers take from tourist to local when immersing themselves into new cultures throughout Latin America. The Day of the Dead party at Viajante87 will be an opportunity to celebrate cultural richness, festivities, and memorable connections in the heart of Notting Hill.
