ASDA LAUNCHES FIRST-EVER SUPERMARKET ROLLER DISCO AT MARGATE’S ICONIC DREAMLAND

Get ready for deals on wheels as Asda announces its Roll(er)back Disco: the first-ever supermarket sweep style roller disco, set to open to the public for one weekend only!

Celebrating the return of the supermarket’s iconic Rollback proposition and fronted by brand ambassador and national P.E. hero, Joe Wicks, the free event will see members of the public descend on Margate’s iconic Dreamland amusement park to take part in a ‘wheely’ unique shopping experience.

The art-deco Roller Room has be transformed to resemble an Asda supermarket, complete with aisles and shelves stacked with boxes representing Rollback products. During each 45-minute session, skaters will be provided with roller skates, a shopping basket and a shopping list and be challenged to fill their baskets with Rollback bargains, ticking off their shopping list as they go.

If they successfully shop all the ingredients on their list, skaters will have the chance to win hundreds of pounds worth of Asda vouchers, with some lucky skaters winning spot prizes worth up to £50.

With disco DJs providing the soundtrack and Joe Wicks on hand to lead a full warm-up and assist guests with their shopping during select sessions, Asda’s Roll(er)back Disco promises to be a one-of-a-kind disco party not to be missed.

The two-day event comes as Asda announces the return of its iconic Rollback proposition – the first step on Asda’s mission to satisfy the daily and weekly shopping needs of ordinary working people and their families who demand value with every single shop they do.

The initiative sees the prices of more than 4,000 family-favourite products reduced by an average discount of 25% in-store and online. Every category in the store is included, as well as Asda Express stores, meaning customers will be making savings on their whole basket whenever and wherever they shop.

The supermarket will add thousands more products to Rollback at regular intervals during the year as part of its plan to move its entire range to a new low ‘Asda Price’ by the end of 2026.

Joe Wicks comments: “I’m so excited to don a pair of skates and take to the rink to celebrate the return of Rollback. Supporting families to be able to access and cook low-cost, simple meals is hugely important to me and Rollback facilitates exactly that – it’s huge price reductions on the products which really matter to families, helping their money go further each week.

I’m looking forward to helping people discover the fab product offers and also provide some recipe inspiration to help turn the amazing deals into dishes.”
