KICKING OFF the 2025 season, the U12s red and white youth teams from Parkfield Youth Football Club were delighted to receive new kits from their high street sponsors.

The store directors from Specsavers Harrow, Pinner and Harrow Weald jointly contributed £3,000 to sponsor the new home and away kits, as well as all-weather raincoats.

Established in 1945, Parkfield Youth Football Club is a highly respected established football club based in Hatch End, Harrow, that offers an academy and trains a range of squads aged five to 16.

Passionate football supporter Adam Shackle, retail director of Specsavers Harrow, Pinner and Harrow Weald, said: ‘As a team we are very community focussed, and football brings together its own community of players, coaches and supporters.

‘Sport from a young age can foster confidence and team spirit, plus of course it builds fitness and, in many cases, establishes life-long friendships.

‘We’re delighted to sponsor the U12s youth teams, and we’re looking forward to watching their matches this season.’

With a pedigree that goes back to its establishment 80 years ago, Parkfield Youth Football Club Park is an FA Charter Standard Club playing to a high standard. Today there are over 17 youth teams, ranging from U7s to U16s. The club is committed to continuing to offer local children, boys and girls the opportunity to develop their skills and prowess on the football pitch.

Specsavers senior divisional retail trainer for Greater London, Antonio Leo, is also a fan of the Club and in his spare time is an FA affiliated Football Coach supporting the Saturday Soccer School programme. Commenting on the sponsorship, Antonio said: ‘I’m thrilled Specsavers Harrow, Pinner and Harrow Weald are sponsoring the red and white U12s teams during the 2025 season. The boys are delighted with their new kit which boosts their confidence on the pitch. It’s a real team effort all round.’

Ali Jobe, Club chairman, said: ‘We at Parkfield Youth FC are very proud that the store partners from Specsavers Harrow, Pinner and Harrow Weald have given their support and sponsorship for the 2024/2025 season.

‘This helps to not only keep our fantastic club running but also gives us that additional level of awareness, helping us to reach as many young people as possible.

‘We are most looking forward to building a working relationship with the local Specsavers teams where over 200 children from the club can benefit from specialist eye care and audiology services. We want every member at Parkfield Youth to have access to these services to assist in every goal we score.

‘We at Parkfield Youth Football club are so happy to have an association with our locally owned and run Specsavers stores and we look forward to growing this relationship with the club.’
