London-based tech developer Studio Graphene celebrates the completion of its 100th project – Frolo
London-based technology developer Studio Graphene has announced the completion of its 100th project Frolo – an online community for single parents.
Since its launch in late September, there are now over 3,000 active users and it has been featured in the Apple App Store’s ‘New Apps We Love’.
This significant milestone for Studio Graphene comes just two months after the company – which plans, designs and builds blank canvas technology products – celebrated its fifth birthday. In that time the team has grown from one full time employee to fifty, and has an established presence in both London and New Delhi.
Frolo Founder Zoë Desmond first-approached Studio Graphene in March this year with the idea of creating an online community for single parents. Over the next five months, Studio Graphene’s team of designers and developers worked closely with Zoë to create an app that would meet the needs of single mums and dads seeking to network with one another.
By harnessing geo-locational and profile matching algorithms, the Frolo app is able to connect single parents with others in their area, while also offering support, guidance and advice around some of the common challenges they face. Frolo also has in-app private messaging and the ability to create meetups at local events.
Ritam Gandhi, Founder and Director of Studio Graphene, said: “It has been a fantastic experience working Zoë to build Frolo. We love the concept behind the business, and the fact that thousands of single parents across the UK have already registered to use Frolo demonstrates just how important this app is in supporting the needs of those who might feel neglected or isolated.
“Frolo reflects everything we strive to achieve with Studio Graphene’s projects – turning a clear and powerful idea into a piece of technology that will really help its users. As such, Frolo’s launch is a fantastic way to celebrate our achievements as a business and it’s a fitting way to mark the completion of 100 tech products.”
Zoë Desmond added: “From our initial meeting, it was clear that Ritam and his team understood what I was wanting to achieve with my app. As someone with a non-tech background, partnering with the right company to effectively turn my idea into a product was always going to be important. Studio Graphene was the ideal choice – they have helped me to create an app with all the features needed to support the UK’s community of single parents.”
