Turner & George Launches “SOS: Save Our Sausages” Hotline for National BBQ Week

This National BBQ Week (25th – 31st May), Turner & George, London’s premium butcher, is stepping in to rescue the nation’s grillers with the launch of its “SOS: Save Our Sausages” hotline. A hotline designed to help even the most rookie barbecuers master the grill.
Running throughout National BBQ Week, Turner & George invite barbecue enthusiasts to email the hotline at saveoursausages@turnerandgeorge.co.uk with their most pressing questions, culinary concerns, and grilling disasters for expert advice on how to save the summer grilling, and it doesn’t stop at sausages! From dry burgers, and burnt steaks to undercooked chicken, no BBQ question is too big or small to access T&G’s BBQ expertise.
Leading the hotline is Richard Turner, ex-founding chef at Hawksmoor, ex-Blacklock, and Co-Founder of both Meatopia UK and Turner & George. Bringing decades of experience in butchery and open-fire cooking to the hotline, Richard knows everything there is to know about grilling.
Through the SOS hotline, Richard Turner and the Turner & George team will be on hand to answer any of your BBQ related queries and share insider tips on everything from essential BBQ tools, and choosing the right grill, to expert techniques such as blanching sausages before cooking them on a barbecue, and using a plancha to achieve the perfect sear on burger patties.
One lucky emailer will also be in with the chance to win an exclusive BBQ feast hosted by the Turner & George team at its central EC1 location. The winner and their three guests will enjoy a hands-on experience, learning how to cut their own steaks, understand the best butchery techniques, and watch as the experts prepare and cook a barbecue feast, showing exactly how you master a grill.
