Marketing Agency Wins National Award After 200km Red Nose Day Rowing Challenge
A digital marketing agency has earned national recognition after raising more than £2,100 for Comic Relief though a 200km endurance rowing challenge.
Sixteen staff members at MRS Digital, located in Fleet, Hampshire, covered a combined 200km on March 16, rowing continuously for almost eight hours on two machines.
The challenge raised £2,138 for Comic Relief and as a result, the charity has recognised MRS Digital as the ‘Sporty Star’ winner in the 2026 Nosey Awards, which highlights Red Nose Day’s standout fundraisers.
Commercial Director Adam Blackford-Mills said: “It’s an honour to be recognised and awarded for our efforts alongside so many inspiring fundraisers.
“The challenge pushed everyone physically, but it also showed just how strong our teamwork and determination is. Raising over £2,100 for such an important cause made it all worthwhile.”
Comic Relief funds vital projects that provide food, shelter, mental health support and life-changing opportunities to those in need and Red Nose Day provides the nation with the opportunity to fundraise for the cause.
The family-run agency split into two teams for their challenge, rowing in 12-minute intervals to reach 100km first. Team ‘Row Hard or Row Home’ narrowly secured the win, with the second team finishing less than a minute later – completing the 200km combined distance.
Winning team captain and Client Relationship Executive Lucie Day said: “It was all about keeping the momentum going, cheering each other on, checking in and keeping the atmosphere upbeat.
“Whenever anyone started to dip, the rest of the team rallied around which made a huge difference.”
