With Harry Styles set to return to Wembley Stadium this month, fans are already planning their outfits, friendship groups and – of course – their shots. Taking photos of favourite artists has become second nature for many Brits, with camera rolls filled with snapshots of unforgettable nights. Popsa, the memory curation app has analysed anonymous location data from photos uploaded from 2022-2025 to identify the most photographed artists at the iconic London venue.

Topping the list is Taylor Swift, who captivated the capital with her Eras Tour, playing at Wembley for eight nights across the summer in 2024. The tour transformed into a cultural moment with Swifties flocking in the hundreds of thousands, making friendship bracelets, snapping special guest sets with Ed Sheeran and Florence + The Machine and many taking photos of the moment she surprised audiences with her then-boyfriend Travis Kelce strolling across the stage for I Can Do it With a Broken Heart.

Coming in second with feather boas, cowboy hats and sparkles in tow is Harry Styles. His Love on Tour saw him bring charm, humour and flamboyant outfits to six nights at Wembley across 2022 and 2023. The tour united Directioners and Styles’ fans, combining pop vocals, stage strutting and fan-centred energy that turned every performance into a celebration of love and identity which fans were eager to memorialise on their camera roll.

Entering third is Ed Sheeran who performed at Wembley for a historic five-night set in 2022 for his +−=÷× Tour (Mathematics Tour). Taking to the stage, Ed Sheeran brought feel-good energy with him, his guitar and loop pedal, as well as a stellar lineup of guests including Sam Smith, Anne-Marie, Stormzy, Fireboy DML and Burna Boy. Performing on a rotating stage gave snappers plenty of angles to photograph the singer.

Following Ed Sheeran in fourth place is Canadian songwriter The Weeknd, whose After Hours Til Dawn Tour closed the European leg at Wembley in August 2023. The Weeknd brought a post-apocalyptic setting to Wembley with a vast metallic cityscape of ruined buildings and an immense moon that dangled over the stage, taking audiences on a voyage to the future which was translated on many camera rolls.

Rounding out the top five for the most-photographed concerts is Bruce Springsteen & The E Street Band who returned to Wembley for two nights in July 2024 for the first time since 2016. 90,000 fans were treated to five decades of material including Born in the USA and The River.

Westlife and Dua Lipa ranked sixth and seventh respectively, with their Wembley debut of The Wild Dreams Tour and Dua bringing her powerhouse pyro to the iconic stadium for her Radical Optimism Tour in 2025.

Surprisingly, Coldplay, who did a 10-night run in August 2025 ranked number nine on the list with their Music of the Spheres World Tour. Fireworks, lasers, giant balls bouncing and a sea of LED wristbands all lit up the stadium by the British band. Coldplay commanded the lower slot due to lead singer Chris Martin stopping shows mid-song to ask fans to put away their phones and tune into the music and atmosphere of the concert.

Similarly, Brit-pop kings Oasis, who reunited in 2025 and performed to a roaring crowd of 90,000 took twelfth place, with Liam known for publicly saying he missed the height of their gigs in the nineties when no one had phones. Armed with this knowledge, bucket-hat wearing fans chose to enjoy the hazy nostalgia-soaked night with no phones in sight.

According to Liam Houghton, CEO and Founder of Popsa, the findings reflect real fan behaviour: “Concerts have become as much about capturing the moment as living it – from outfit shots and selfies with friends, to snapping your favourite artist mid-performance. Our data shows that people are increasingly drawn to photograph the collective energy of a show: the stage, the crowd, the atmosphere. For many, a concert is a defining experience, and those memories deserve more than sitting unseen on a phone.”

The data was compiled by analysing anonymised location data from millions of photos uploaded to Popsa by users between 2022 and 2025, using location metadata to identify images taken within the boundaries of the stadium and ranking them based on total photo volume. Each concert was then assigned a “photo index score”, reflecting its relative popularity compared to others.
