JAMES THE SEVENTH RELEASES EP ‘SCIENCE’
Today, alternative pop artist James the Seventh unveils her EP Science with focus track “Racecar Driver” – listen HERE. The EP marks the first release under a newly inked partnership with Nice Life Recording Company. James the Seventh joins the label of carefully curated artists signed by Founder and CEO Ricky Reed. Nice Life Recording Company is home to Lizzo, The Marías and Tinashe, amongst others.
Science is solely produced by James’s longtime collaborator, Oren Yoel (Miley Cyrus, Xxxtentacion, Joji). It will includes previously released singles “Science”, “Pity Fuck,” “Coolest Cat,” and “Goofy.” Alongside the EP release, James the Seventh drops the music video for focus track “Racecar Driver” – watch HERE. Directed by Arielle Friedman, the music video features James the Seventh singing fiercely to the camera while wearing an avant-garde racecar driver jacket and wielding a sword as her accessory.

Emerging from a background in ballet, James the Seventh found a passion for music after a career-altering injury. Influenced by Kate Bush, Wolf Alice, Talking Heads, The Specials, and Iggy Pop, she wrote songs as her body recovered. She recorded “You Don’t Know Me,” adopted the name James the Seventh as a nod to her father (who is actually James VI in their family lineage), and opened the doorway for more. She first gained traction with her viral single “Trauma Olympics” off her first EP Mind Your Business released in 2025. Beyond amassing 2.6 million Spotify streams, the single “Trauma Olympics” surged on social media ignited by posts from Lady Gaga, Marina & The Diamonds, and more.
