Come and hear Jenny Beavan talk about her incredible career in costume design, with film clips of some of her favourite moments. Jenny will be interviewed by Sonnet Stanfill, Senior Curator of the V&A’s Textiles and Fashion Department. Arrival from 6pm and the talk will begin at 6.30pm.
Jenny is well-known for her work on the Merchant Ivory films, and won the Academy Award for Best Costume Design in 1986 for A Room With A View. Most recently she won an Academy Award and the BAFTA Award for Costume Design for Mad Max: Fury Road. She has been nominated an additional eight times for her work on films including Sense and Sensibility and The King’s Speech. She also received a Tony Award nomination for Best Costume Design for the play Private Lives.
