A Wild Life: Game of Thrones Star Attached to New Short Film
10-year-old Raphael Bishop (Casualty, Les Misérables) and seasoned actor Robert Goodman (Ripper Street, Game of Thrones) join the cast of A Wild Life.
A Wild Life, Goldman Picture Company’s inaugural short film, takes viewers on an emotional journey as we follow a widower (Goodman) as he ventures into the depths of a Welsh forest with the intention of ending his life. However, fate intervenes when he enters a lost boy scout (Bishop) who desperately needs a helping hand. Production is set to begin in August in Wales.
Goodman will play Chester, a widower in his late seventies. Chester’s daily walks in his national park, haunted by the memory of his late wife, unveil a world far more profound than meets the eye. Goodman brings a wealth of experience and depth to the character of Chester, with a distinguished career featuring memorable roles in Gangs of New York, Valyrian Slave in Game of Thrones, and Werner in the TV series Ripper Street.
Bishop will play Arthur, a larger-than-life 10-year-old boy scout whose own encounters with loss drive him to befriend Chester in an unexpected twist of faith. Bishop was born in Wales and began acting at age four after securing his first role in the renowned BBC series Poldark. Bishop is also well-known for his role as Little Marius in the TV Mini-Series of Les Miserables.
A Wild Life is being produced by Zachary Goldman, known for his remarkable portrayal of Billy Idol in ‘Pistol,’ the TV series produced by Danny Boyle (Disney Plus). Zachary is joined by Director Marie-Andrée Lemaire, RADA graduate and her debut short film, ‘Be My Baby,’ 2022, has garnered significant recognition. Jennifer James (WJ Productions and PickleJar Holdings) is set to executive produce the film.
Zachary Goldman, Founder of Goldman Picture Company, says, “Both Raphael and Robert are the perfect cast members for A Wild Life. Raphael is a young star in the making, and we are thrilled to have seasoned actor Robert Goodman on board.”
