ADVENTURES AWAIT: GRAND OPENING OF OVER’S NEWEST PLAYGROUND
Local children were thrilled to attend the opening of the new Mini Millers Meadow playground on Thursday 10th August at housebuilder This Land’s Spiregrass Square development in Windmill Close, Over.
Boasting a charming wooden hut, stepping stones, and a climbing frame, the playground was unveiled to a delighted assembly of local children at an exciting launch event. Not only did attendees enjoy the new playground, but they were treated to free ice cream from Toni’s Ices.
David Lewis, CEO at This Land, commented: “Mini Millers Meadow play park at Spiregrass Square is a brilliant addition to the development and will really help to continue boosting the community feel here.
“Children will have great fun exploring all the new equipment, and the nearby benches will be ideal for parents wanting to keep an eye on their little ones. It’s a fantastic way to encourage outdoor activity and create lasting memories for everyone in Over and at our development. It’s a great step forward for the community and we hope everyone enjoys the new park!”
Since its introduction in 2022, the development has proved popular with local homebuyers, resulting in the sale of over 85% of the homes.
Each home at Spiregrass Square offers a high-quality specification, with contemporary handleless kitchens with integrated appliances and stylish bathrooms. They also benefit from sustainable air source heat pumps, underfloor heating to the ground floor, and fitted wardrobes to the principal bedroom.
Numerous local amenities, such as a newsagent, community centre and village pub, are easily accessible to residents with only a short walk from the development. The development is also an attractive choice for families, being close to Puddleducks Pre-school, New Road Pre-school, and Over County Primary School. Nature enthusiasts will appreciate the nearby Over cricket club and Fen Drayton Lakes, which offer picturesque walking paths.
The development benefits from excellent transport links, with the Cambridgeshire Guided Busway located nearby in Swavesey, which provides convenient bus links to Cambridge as well as St Ives, Huntingdon, and Peterborough. For those travelling by road, Cambridge is just a 30-minute drive away.
Currently available at the development is the final collection of two, three and four-bedroom homes including the two-bedroom Astelia, which is priced at £299,995. .
