Selfridges London is welcomed innovative jewellery brand, The Diamond Lab, into the Wonder Room for the first time this month. This marks the first lab-grown diamond brand the iconic department store has had in the Wonder Room.

The Diamond Lab’s debut will showcase loose lab-grown diamonds and jewellery creations across three collections retailing between £375-£350,000, including the limited-edition Selfridges Yellow Diamond line. The alluring yellow lab-grown diamond stones represent the iconic department store will be suspended on twin transparent bands signifying the invisible threads which connect us all, made of either 18 karat white or yellow gold.

Every piece of jewellery from The Diamond Lab is designed with lab-created diamonds rather than earth-sourced ones, fusing science with luxury; the only difference is the origin. Diamonds from above the ground can now be obtained while avoiding the high environmental tag.

Customers will also be invited to join jewellery design workshops so they can create custom LAB100 jewellery from The Diamond Lab with intention to create a bond with its customers. The LAB100 bracelets have a simple aesthetic and each one has a handcrafted lab-grown diamond strung on clear thread to represent industry’s transparency and the brand’s commitment to educating consumers on mindful stones and sustainable practices of jewellery making.

The partnership between Selfridges and The Diamond Lab has been born out of Selfridges wanting to offer a unique and sustainable option of diamonds to its ever-growing eco-conscious shoppers.

Taking centre stage in the renowned Wonder Room, The Diamond Lab is challenging the existing status quo in the luxury industry by thoroughly comprehending to the needs of the future generation of luxury consumers.

All collections from The Diamond Lab will be available at the Selfridges London store. The selection of yellow grown diamond gemstones will come in sizes ranging from 0.50 to 1.00 carat, with a variety of fancy cuts, set in bracelets, necklaces and anklets.

The Diamond Lab workshops take place in the Selfridges London store, in the Wonder Room, ground floor.
