Angmering Community Centre backed with £1000 donation by David Wilson Homes

Angmering Community Centre has received a £1000 donation from David Wilson Homes, which it will use to help its clients who have been through difficult times during Covid-19 restrictions. The housebuilder, who is currently building its Ecclesden Park development less than a mile away from the centre on Water Lane, made the donation from its Community Fund, which was set up to support initiatives, organisations and activities in the region.

The centre, which is located on Foxwood Avenue in Angmering, operates at the core of the community, offering a number of classes and groups for local residents. During the first half of 2021, the centre also functioned as a major vaccination centre, having provided vaccines to over 37,000 individuals in the surrounding area. David Wilson Southern Counties’ donation will allow Angmering Community Centre to continue to be a safe and supportive social hub for the community.

Kimberley Benson, Sales and Marketing Director for David Wilson Southern Counties, comments: “Angmering Community Centre has been a vital centre-piece for the local community, so it is a pleasure to see that in early April it will open its doors once again for classes. Grassroots centres such as these are often the starting places for young talent to flourish and develop new skills, so as we help the community to grow by delivering new homes, we are also proud to invest in existing facilities for residents.”

Judith Cross, the Chair of Trustees at Angmering Community Centre, comments: “Our Centre has been of great benefit for the community, providing residents with the opportunity to try out new activities and meet people, while allowing the most vulnerable in the area to access much-needed support.”

“We thank David Wilson Southern Counties for investing in us. Their donation will be used to support groups who look to expand their selection of activities throughout 2022.”

David Wilson Southern Counties is currently building a selection of homes at Ecclesden Park in Angmering, where a collection of three and four-bedroom homes are available. Prices start from £434,995 for a three-bedroom home.
