Art Cluster project revealed at BEON1X that aims to transform the cultural landscape of Southern Europe
Four Seasons Hotel London at Park Lane has been named the official hotel partner of No.9 Cork Street gallery – Frieze’s exhibition space, based in one of London’s most historical art streets. Frieze is the world’s leading platform for modern and contemporary art for scholars, connoisseurs, collectors, and the general public alike. In October 2021, Frieze launched No.9 Cork Street, a hub for visiting international galleries in the heart of Mayfair, London.
The partnership between the Hotel and Frieze’s gallery, No.9 Cork Street, will begin in October 2022 to coincide with Frieze Art Fairs – Frieze London and Frieze Masters. To celebrate the partnership, Four Seasons Hotel London at Park Lane will offer guests booking Speciality Suites complimentary tickets to the Fair’s VIP days. VIP tickets will offer guests special access and entry to the Fairs at times that are not open to the public for optimal viewing.
Following the Fairs, the partnership will continue year-round, offering Hotel guests exclusive art viewing experiences. These include access to private tours with No.9 Cork Street’s gallery director Selvi May Akyildiz, and coveted invitations to private-view events throughout the year. Four Seasons suite guests will have access to private viewings of the following events in 2022:
October 27: Pop-up of Ulysses de Santi (Modern Brazilian Design)
November 10: Various Small Fires, Ross-Sutton Gallery, OSL Contemporary
December 1: Barakat Contemporary
As Lynn Brutman, General Manager of Four Seasons Hotel London at Park Lane, states, “We are thrilled to be partnering with Frieze – one of the most prestigious art authorities in the world. Art is so integral to the history and culture of our city and we know that this partnership will ensure Four Seasons guests have the very best access to discovering London’s contemporary art scene.”
Located on the Hotel’s doorstep, Frieze’s exhibition space is situated in an ideal spot for any art-loving guests to explore. The positioning in Mayfair’s Cork Street, also great has historical significance: dating back to the early 20th century, the street has been home to some of the most profound contemporary art movements. Today, the whole street remains dedicated to serving the art community.
In addition, the Hotel’s bar will be introducing a Frieze-inspired cocktail to the menu. Crafted by Mixologist Ivan Arena, The Cork Street Cocktail is the perfect tipple to sip and muse the local art displays.
