Barratt London brings invites the Mayor of Barnet for Topping Out in Mill Hill
October, the Mayor of Barnet, Councillor Alison Moore, joined Barratt London and development partner L&Q to celebrate the Topping Out of Dodson House at Ridgeway Views in Mill Hill. The mayor was invited to lay the final brick of the apartment block, which will provide 53 new homes, and was presented with a ceremonial trowel.
Stephen Thompson, Managing Director for Barratt East London welcomed the mayor and key stakeholders to the ceremony which marked the latest phase of the development structurally complete. Ridgeway Views is set within 47 acres of the Mill Hill conservation area, presenting residents with views of the rolling Totteridge Valley. The development is bringing over 450 new homes to the area in total, and offers a residents’ gym, concierge service, a fitness trail, and a proposed café.
Councillor Alison Moore, Mayor of Barnet, said: “It has been a privilege to help mark the structural completion of Dodson House here in Mill Hill. I look forward to welcoming new residents and hope they settle in and feel at home, continuing the blending of communities both old and new in Mill Hill.”
Darren Parker, Director of Development and Regeneration at L&Q said “We are delighted to be working with Barratt on this flagship scheme in North London and to be providing much needed high quality affordable homes for the area.”
Stephen Thompson, Managing Director for Barratt East London, comments: “Ridgeway Views is a great example of how a site with a remarkable heritage can be redeveloped to house a new community and provide opportunities for those already living in Mill Hill, with 40% of the homes being affordable. Along with delivering high quality, energy efficient new homes, the development has created acres of new public parkland connecting it to the neighbouring countryside. A range of biodiversity features have been introduced, along with more than 700 new trees, to encourage the local flora and fauna to flourish and ensure residents can enjoy a rural lifestyle, whilst still being able to reach central London in just 30 minutes. I would like to thank Mayor Moore, as well as our partners at L&Q, for joining in our celebration.”
Homes at Barratt London’s Ridgeway Views currently start from £423,995 for a one-bedroom apartment, with two-bedroom homes also currently available. For more information about the development please visit www.barrattlondon.com
