BARRATT LONDON SUPPORTS RESIDENT’S MENTAL HEALTH THROUGH WELLBEING PARTNERSHIP

Leading housebuilder Barratt London has teamed up with wellness coach Lisa Blane for a series of exclusive videos to give their residents and other members of the local community tips on how to improve wellbeing in the home during lockdown.

This comes as a recent study by the Mental Health Foundation found that almost 40% of people are not “coping well with the stress of the pandemic”, up by approximately 15% from the first lockdown in March.[1]

As a qualified wellness coach, Lisa Blane regularly supports clients to improve their mental and physical health through a range of nutrition and wellness solutions. Her weekly blog has helped her amass over 84 thousand followers on Instagram. This latest collaboration, filmed in the tranquil communal grounds of Barratt London’s Hendon Waterside scheme, discusses ways to engage in mindfulness and resilience both inside and outside the home in order to help combat signs of anxiety and sleep disturbance. The short films will be uploaded as story posts to Lisa’s Instagram account over the next week, which can be followed using the hashtag #KeepWellLondon.

Ed McCoy, Sales and Marketing Director for Barratt West London, said: “Given lockdown’s impact on mental health, we wanted to highlight some simple ways to help support our resident’s wellbeing. These are quick tips that anyone can do at home and will hopefully help people feel a bit happier as a result.”

“In developments like Hendon Waterside, set in 170 acres of green space on the banks of the Welsh Harp Reservoir, the local community can really feel the benefit from their daily walks and the importance of being with nature. With Spring around the corner, there is a definite feeling of hope in the air.”

Lisa Blane, comments: “This has been a great project to work on, and I’ve been very impressed with how committed Barratt London have been to promoting wellness for their homeowners and prospective buyers at Hendon Waterside. I hope at least a few of the tips included resonate with my own and Barratt London’s social media followers.”
