Bristol Based Business To Help Ship A Container Of Mobility Aids To Syria

“The humanitarian crisis in Syria has escalated to a level where 12.8 million people are in need of health assistance. There are an estimated 30,000 war-related traumas every month with around 30% of these people being left with permanent disabilities.” Samara Levy, Samara’s Aid Appeal, relief of suffering through the provision of humanitarian and medical aid.

This Friday, June 16th at 11 AM, a shipment of assorted mobility equipment will be packed and dispatched to war torn Syria by the Bristol based charity Legs4Africa. The shipment has been made possible by a collaboration between Admirals storage yard who provide free storage for Legs4Africa and Samara’s Aid Appeal who are funding the cost of shipping to Syria as well as dealing with the distribution of the equipment.

Though Legs4Africa’s primary focus is the rehabilitation of amputees in sub-Saharan Africa, it often collaborates with other charities and causes who work in the mobility charity sector. Last year Legs4Africa provided a van load of equipment for Samara’s Aid Appeal, to help alleviate just a little of the strain for the victims of the desperate situation in Syria.
