Brits feel the love for Simba on The Lion King’s 25th anniversary
Simba has been crowned the nation’s favourite character from The Lion King,new research has revealed on the 25th anniversary weekend of the film’s first release.
In the research commissioned by ODEON, the loveable cub turned king is miles ahead of the pack (52 percent) with Pumbaa (13 percent) and Mufasa (9 percent) coming in behind him. Timon (7%) and Scar (5%) round up the top five.
What’s more, in a film that gave the world many iconic songs, the findings have also uncoveredCircle of Life(32 percent) to be Brits preferred tune from the flick, closely followed byCan You Feel The Love Tonight(22 percent) and Hakuna Matata (22 percent).
The anniversary comes just weeks away from the official release of the highly-anticipated live-action remake, out in cinemas 19 July. With already so much buzz, fans are expected to be eager to snap up tickets when they go on sale soon.
