CALLING ALL CROCHETERS: CAN YOU CROCHET A COW?

Award winning Plymouth-based playwrite writer Laura Horton and designer Natasha Jenkins are calling for volunteers across London to contribute black and white crochet squares, which will combined to become part of the creation of a full-sized knitted cow that will feature in Laura’s new play Lynn Faces.

They are inviting donations however large or small, and encouraging people to try their hand.

Lynn Faces will preview in London at New Diorama Theatre on Sunday 28th July 3pm and 7pm https://newdiorama.com/whats-on/lynn-faces-edinburgh-previews
before a full run at Summerhall as part of Edinburgh Fringe:

Lynn Faces is a moving show about the aftermath, echoes, and effects of an abusive relationship – all through the lens of Laura’s long-time identification with Lynn Benfield (the long-suffering assistant in Alan Partridge) and punk music. Working with the charity Trevi House to encourage discussions about coercive control and abuse.

Anyone willing to pick up a crotchet hook and contribute to the project is encouraged to email [email protected] to register their interest.

As part of her crowd funding, Horton is also asking people to suggest a name for the cow, each suggestion asks for a donation of a pound, and the chosen name will appear in the play: https://www.crowdfunder.co.uk/p/cow-crochet-1
