Calling all noodle enthusiasts! Murger Han announces doors are open at Castle Square in Elephant and Castle

Famed for its Chinese noodles and sandwiches, Murger Han has announced its doors are open at its fourth site at Zone 1’s Castle Square in Elephant and Castle.

The Chinese street food joint, which is known for being London’s first authentic Xi’an restaurant, joins the diverse and vibrant foodie quarter at Castle Square and is an addition to the restaurant’s portfolio which already covers Euston, Bank and Mayfair.

Murger Han is already much-loved by many Londoners and serves up authentic Xi’an dishes which have been passed down the generations in the history of Chinese culture. Their main signature dish is the Murger or Roujiamo, which is the world’s oldest sandwich or hamburger and means “meat sandwiched in bread”, a popular dish seen amongst Chinese street food. Customers can order the Murger with pork (including lean pork only), spicy beef with peppers and cumin or roasted duck.

Other signature dishes on the menu include Steamed Cold Noodles made of rice or wheat and are served with seasonal vegetables and Handmade Noodles which includes the popular BiangBiang noodle and comes with your choice of toppings. Of if you’re looking for something to warm up over the chillier months be sure to try their Clay Pot Food which consists of rice or glass noodle base with mixed vegetables and broth or their Soup Dishes such as Wonton Soup, Dumplings in Spicy and Sour Soup or Lamb Soup with Vermicelli and Tofu. All main dishes can be accompanied by a selection of house-special snacks such as gyozas, meatballs and skewers.

Murger Han is located in the heart of the foodie and cultural destination Castle Square, and adds to the existing diverse food and drink offering which covers cuisines from across the globe. from across the world. Its new location promises a vibrant, relaxed and welcoming space for the whole family to enjoy with delicious dishes at a reasonable price.
