CANINE COTTAGES EM-BARKS ON A HUNT FOR 10 ‘CANINE CRITICS’ TO REVIEW DOG-FRIENDLY HOLIDAYS
Canine Cottages today announces that applications are open for the third annual Canine Critics competition. Closing on 29th October 2020, successful applicants will be offered coveted positions as ‘Canine Critics’: four-legged ambassadors of the brand who will act as the paws on the ground and be responsible for reviewing cottage holidays, posting on Canine Cottages’ social channels, sniffing out adventures along the way and generally living the doggy dream!
This year, Canine Cottages is hoping that Canine Critics will be the most successful yet and are looking to recruit 10 special dogs from around the UK to join their pack, receive a free UK holiday as well as some awesome treats. The competition has exploded in popularity from 7,000 hopeful applicants in its debut year to more than 50,000 in 2019, with dogs all over the UK dreaming of being crowned a Critic.
The rewards for becoming one of the newly recruited Canine Critics include each lucky pup receiving a £1,000 voucher for a cottage holiday and a doggy bag full of treats. In addition, the successful dogs will be profiled on the Canine Cottages website and appear regularly across the company’s social media channels.
Potential Canine Critics will need a little help from their faithful humans when applying. However, the application process is extremely simple and involves little more than uploading a favourite snap (ideally one that shows the pup’s personality) and completing the short online form.
Canine Cottages Digital PR Manager, Shannon Keary says: “Our 2019 campaign was phenomenally successful and we were overwhelmed with the calibre and quantity of entries. The chosen 2019 Critics have been amazing and we’ve loved having them as ambassadors for our brand. Now we cannot wait to recruit ten, new top dogs for 2020. We’re on the hunt for a diverse selection of ‘real’ dogs who love to explore the UK and have their photo taken, as well as a willing human to sit, stay and lie down with!”
Last year’s winners from London, Puggy Smalls, had a pawsome year and commented: “My favourite thing about being Critics was the adventure! We got to explore country houses, go on big walkies and get back to rest in front of an open fire. The human’s took advantage of finding the best dog friendly places to try. And we didn’t have to spend one minute apart.”
His wife, Pops, also offered up some advice to aspiring critics: “Have fun & be ready to put in your walking boots on. As for your photos it’s all about the lightening & capturing the moment. Good luck!”
Full details can be found on the Canine Cottages website and you do not need to have travelled with Canine Cottages previously to apply. Previous applicants may also enter. This really is the opportunity of a lifetime.
