Carers Network launch their exciting and innovative new BizzyBox Lending Project

Carers Network, a local charity supporting unpaid carers, is launching their ground-breaking new BizzyBox Lending Project with an event at The Beethoven Centre, Third Avenue, London, W10 4JL on Wednesday 18 May from 2pm-4pm.

Through this exciting and innovative new project, local unpaid carers can borrow activity products to enjoy with their loved one for free.

These products have been specially designed to help people living with dementia, recovering from a stroke or heart attack, or living with autism or a learning disability.

The growing library of activity products available for carers to borrow include hug buddies, comfort pets, activity boards and puzzles.

There are also products specially designed for people from African and Afro-Caribbean communities living with dementia.

Local carer Hanna recently borrowed a comfort pet for her husband David who she looks after: “We are both so pleased with the loan of ‘Betty’ the Cavalier King Charles puppy from Carers Network’s BizzyBox Lending Project. She has found a lap to snuggle on and is providing comfort and companionship. Betty even breathes! Thank you for this lovely opportunity.”

Local unpaid carers are warmly invited to this event to see product demonstrations and to try them out.

They can then sign up as BizzyBox Lending Project members and take an item away on loan for free.

Registration via [email protected] or 020 8960 3033

The BizzyBox Lending Project is funded by the generous support of the Community Priorities Programme, The London Community Foundation and Valesco – Donor Invitation.
