Casino Cities: The UK Cities That Are Best for a Gaming Night Out

Whilst we might associate casinos with Vegas or Maccau, the UK is home to plenty of casinos that are ideal for a night of gaming and bets.

Whether you’re in London, Manchester, or Glasgow, all of the UK’s cities have great casinos to spend evenings in with friends.

The team at OLBG have revealed the 10 cities in the UK that contain the most casinos, so you can plan a night out in your nearest city, using data from Google Maps.

London – 54 Casinos

As the largest and most densely populated UK city, it’s no surprise that London takes the top spot with the largest number of casinos in the country.

If you’re based in London, there are plenty of establishments across many boroughs that are perfect for a casino night out. Most casinos are found in central London, but they go as far north as Finchley and as far south as Tooting.

Birmingham – 11 Casinos

Next up is Birmingham, the third-most densely populated city in the country, but coming second place for the most casinos. With 11 casinos in the city, there are significantly fewer than London.

Six casinos are found in the city centre, and there are also two right next to Birmingham Airport, with the remaining three scattered across south and east Birmingham.

Manchester – 6 Casinos

Manchester is up next, with 6 casinos for the city’s population of 2.7 million, the second- most densely populated city in the country, but third for casino numbers.

Three of the six casinos are located in the city centre, with one situated in the south of Manchester in Stockport, one in the north in Broughton, and one in Longsight.

Leeds, Glasgow, Liverpool – 5 Casinos

Leeds is home to 5 casino establishments, and has a population of about 1.9 million people, making it the fourth-most densely populated city and fourth for casino numbers. Four casinos are situated in the city centre, with one found in Farnley.

Scotland finally gets some representation, with Glasgow also holding a total of five casinos. The casinos are mostly found in the city centre, with one located in Springfield Quay.

Like Leeds and Glasgow, Liverpool also holds five casino establishments, in the city famed for its musical origins. All casinos are located in the city centre, except one located in Stonedale Retail Park near Gill Moss.

Nottingham – 4 Casinos

Next up is Nottingham, which holds four casinos in the city.

All four are located in the city centre, to make it an ideal night out if you want to visit multiple. If poker is your forte, visit From Dusk Til Dawn, a casino that specialises in poker, set up by poker enthusiasts with strong customer reviews.

Newcastle and Blackpool – 3 Casinos

Finally, holding three casinos in the city, is Newcastle Upon Tyne in the north east of England.

All three are located just north of the Tyne river in the city centre, including Aspers, which is said to be the highest-rated casino in the city. Whilst you don’t have a huge selection in Newcastle, it’s a great city to be in for a night out regardless.

If you want to gamble with a nice sea-view, then Blackpool is also a great place for casinos as the coastal town holds three.
