CAST and ARTWORK released for The Glorious French Revolution
Award-winning YESYESNONO are making their biggest show yet – the story of the French Revolution. It’s a show about angry, hungry citizens demanding a better world (It’s not Les Mis). It’s a show about rage and violence and taking to the streets. It’s a show with some music and a bit of dance (It’s really not Les Mis though). It’s about what it would feel like to guillotine a king… or maybe like… a billionaire? Just thinking about it, obviously not actually DOING it… just imagining… just a thought experiment… not serious, obviously we’re not serious but maybe… maybe… maybe..?
We are delighted to announce the cast, starting rehearsals today, are Joe Boylan who recently appeared in Accidental Death of an Anarchist at The Theatre Royal Haymarket, Paul Brendan whose extensive career includes Comedy of Errors, Shakespeare’s Globe, Sha Dessi – yes she did make her professional stage debut as Éponine in Les Misérables at the Sondheim Theatre in the West End – BUT this show still isn’t Les Mis, Jessica Enemokwu who appeared in THE PAPPY SHOW: 10th Birthday Pit Party at the Barbican, and Alice Keedwell who some may know as part of House of Blakewell, or perhaps from The Tempest at Regents Park Open Air Theatre. Please see full biogs in editors notes in the press release.
