Cazcabel Celebrates Cinco De Mayo Across The UK
This May, leading tequila brand, Cazcabel is marking Cinco De Mayo in true Mexican style, with a series of exciting parties, colourful activations and special menus that mark this annual celebration of Mexico’s independence. Centred around the weekend of the 5th – 7th May, the celebrations include a month-long bar takeover and Cinco De Mayo party at The Bottle Cocktail Shop in Islington, a series of masterclasses at Mestizo, Chelsea, a terrace takeover at Pepper Rocks Nottingham, a Cinco De Mario party at Manchester’s Pixel Bar and a ‘Why Waste’ focused national road show with Ugly Butterfly Restaurant and Bar.
Cazcabel will be working with Josh Linfitt, Bar Director of Adam Handling Group, which includes the Michelin-starred FROG by Adam Handling, and Ugly Butterfly Restaurant and Bar in Carbis Bay where Josh is based. Josh will be popping up at two of the country’s hottest venues – Passing Fancies in Birmingham, and Tabula Rasa in Leeds for a Why Waste seminar, focusing on how to find flavour in commonly-wasted ingredients, and utilising the link between kitchen and bar for sustainable innovation. For this, Josh will be showcasing two drinks – including 24 Carrot Margarita with Cazcabel Reposado before hosting a bar takeover with Cazcabel for guests.
In London, Cazcabel will be working with some of the coolest bars in the city to bring their award-winning tequila to the party. From the 1st May, Cazcabel is taking over The Bottle Cocktail Shop, and proud to be the only product on the menu for the whole month. On Friday 5th May, Cazcabel will be hosting a Cinco de Mayo party, where guests will be treated to a five cocktail specials menu created by Cazcabel Global Brand Ambassador, Nate Sorby and tunes by DJ Mike Foster. On the week of Cinco de Mayo, Cazcabel will team up with Meztizo Chelsea for a Cocktail masterclass & La Loteria event, as well as a dedicated cocktail menu, while members of Ronnie Scott’s in Soho can enjoy a bespoke masterclass courtesy of the Cazcabel team.
In Manchester, the Cinco de Mario tournament at Pixel Bar will let customers put their thumbs to use and win Cazcabel prizes for the fastest lap, while the likes of Cane and Grain and Barrio running one-off Cinco De Mayo menus and specials throughout the weekend. Meanwhile, The Pumping Station in Leicester will be holding a Cazcabel La Loteria event on Friday 5th and offering free curated Mexican food for guests, and Hot Box Truro will run a ‘Master your Margarita’ masterclass in honour of the day.
Recently named the UK’s bestselling 100% agave tequila, Cazcabel is fast becoming a world-leading tequila brand, voted Master in this year’s Tequila & Mezcal Master Awards and stocked in the world’s favourite bars, restaurants, and retailers. Truly Mexican, Cazcabel is crafted in the highlands of the Jalisco mountains by the Vazquez family and made using seven-year-old, Blue Weber agave and crushed using traditional methods.
